Trey Songz is back in trouble once again, charged over the weekend with allegedly destroying property at a hookah bar in New York City — and assaulting a nightclub employee earlier this month, according to court records.
The latest incident involving the “Trigga” singer occurred in the wee hours Sunday at Mira NYC & Hookah Lounge in Midtown Manhattan. Court documents state Trey intentionally damaged more than $1500 worth of hookah set-ups, DJ equipment, and sofas.
After his arrest, police did a computer check and realized Trey was wanted for a second crime in which he allegedly assaulted an employee inside Dramma Night Club in Times Square on December 4.
Prosecutors charged Trey in both cases … slapping him with two counts of assault, harassment, and criminal mischief. Trey pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court and was released without bail.
Trey’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, defended his client in a statement to TMZ … saying the singer is “cooperating fully and looks forward to the facts coming to light.” Schuster also addressed Sunday’s incident, stating Trey was “confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation and attempted to surround him.”
